It is open to all IPB Academy student levels\, from 3-year old Pre-Ballet through the upper division’s most advanced students. To fill out the cast roles\, several Inland Pacific Ballet Company dancers and IPB Studio II Company dancers will also perform. \nThis year’s production is Coppélia\, a popular classic ballet that tells the story of Dr. Coppélius\, who has a magical toy shop and builds a life-size dancing doll\, Coppélia. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives\, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words\, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing\, pout-inducing\, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake.
