DESCRIPTION:For over sixty years\, Mother Nature has transformed the rolling hills of North San Diego County into one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The 55-acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch® in Carlsbad\, California\, are in bloom for approximately six to eight weeks each year – from early March through early May – literally bringing the famous fields back to life. This annual burst of color\, which has become part of the area’s local heritage\, also is one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of spring here in Southern California. \nThe Flower Fields are an alcohol and tobacco-free environment. Pets\, Emotional Support Animals\, Drones\, Balloons\, and Bicycles are also not permitted.

SUMMARY:RailGiants Train Museum
DESCRIPTION:RailGiants Train Museum at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona\, California is a historical journey back to the glory days of the American Railroad. \nOur Museum houses some of the country’s most well-preserved locomotives\, which includes several sole survivors of their respective classes. Our RailGiants collection contains two of the four surviving 3-Cylinder steam locomotives; SP #5021 and UP #9000. The largest diesel locomotive\, a Union Pacific “Centennial\,” is also here. In addition to our locomotives\, we have various pieces of Rolling Stock (freight and passenger cars)\, our historic Arcadia Depot\, Library Archives\, and Gift Shop. \nWe are open free to the public during the second weekend of each month\, except in May\, from 10 am to 5 pm.
