SUMMARY:Dia de los Muertos Experience
DESCRIPTION:Día de los Muertos\, or Day of the Dead\, is an important celebration in Mexico\, South America\, and the U.S. that dates back to the Aztec Empire. Día de los Muertos is a day of commemoration – an opportunity for individuals to come together to focus on their loved ones who have passed away\, and to honor\, revere\, and celebrate their memory.\n \nAn Ofrenda is an altar or shrine that families set up in their home for Día de los Muertos to celebrate the departed. The base is usually a table or other surface draped with a cloth and filled with significant objects. The objects reflect the four elements of water\, wind\, earth\, and fire. \nGet ready for a multi-day Día de los Muertos experience with a variety of fun and educational activities. \nHere’s what you can expect: \n\nNovember 1-3\, 11am-2pm: Community Ofrenda and Local Food Vendor on-site!\nNovember 4th\, 11am-5pm: Main Event with Beer Garden\, Performances\, Artisans\, Food Vendors\, Music\, and more!\n\nThe Community Ofrenda experience will be on display at Court Street Square from November 1-4.
